Hello beautiful mama,

My name is Katerina - thank you for stopping by.

I love to travel (currently having a pretty hard time regarding that), I love everything art, design, psychology (I have a degree in child psychology that I never took further, as I kept being drawn to something more creative). I also love plants, dogs & elephants, fine dining and don’t particularly like the gym as such - oh well.

I believe, that birth is widely misunderstood, but, purely judging just from the fact that you are here, I think that you, too, might see it as an incredibly beautiful and fascinating thing that us, women, have been given.

I remember myself, and one of my best friends, we used to talk about birth and babies and how we thought birth centres should be ran and how birthing mums should be treated. Only years later, we both realised that we should make a career from our passion. She went back to school to become a midwife, and through her, I once ran into this Instagram account of this American birth photographer, which was the first time I had learnt that Birth Photography was a thing - and I WAS HOOKED!

I used to photograph a lot about my travels, I’ve been all over the world (well - almost:), I have lived in six countries - a camera had been a form of my diary. The realisation, that I can combine two of my huge interests - birth and photography, has been incredibly empowering and exciting.

Birth Photography has been a big trend in the recent years around the world, however, I am one of the pioneers in this area, so my job is to bring this incredible opportunity to local parents and show the immeasurable value, of being able to live through the day again.

I have always been really open minded, I will never judge any decision you make about your own birth journey. I have an idea of what I want my birth to be one day, but I’m not quite there just yet :)

I get really moved by the love that happens in a birth space, it’s such an incredible moment to be a part of and also pretty addictive. :)

Currently, I am studying and working on two different certifications for Birth Photographers - they are the two most recognised ones in the industry (Birth Becomes You & Beauty in Birth) - so I can serve you the best I can.

Lastly, I would like to salute to everyone, who is on a birth journey, and I very much hope to be a part of it soon.

Love,

Kat xx
